In The News: Occupy Calgary Harder Pill to Swallow Than RedMile cleanup, Stampede

Easier To Swallow: Calgary Herald, November 5th
Lisa Fryklund, Calgary

“The Occupy Calgary camp at Olympic Plaza may be an issue to the city’s emergency management department and to the groups who have bookings for Olympic Plaza, but would it be easier to accept this dilemma if the $40,000 went to cleaning up after a Flames Stanley Cup victory on the Red Mile or a weekend of Stampede parties?

It would seem that since there isn’t monetary gain or claim to fame in having Occupy Calgary, the protest is painted as a nuisance.”
